Charlie,
Thanks for the word on this.  I've used the tank
method  for many years.  Part of my work was always
verifying that the tank was empty prior to adding the
antifreeze.  My previous trailer had its tank under
the sofa, which allowed me the ability to visually
check that it was empty.  I agree that if you can't
verify that the tank is dry, you are rolling the dice
as to the strength of the anti freeze mixture.

Based on Sam Smith's posting on his newer Safari,
there is no pump access without cutting into a cabinet
or closet, and you say that the drain doesn't empty
the tank...looks like I'm going to have to check this
out carefully before we put the Safari to bed this
winter.
