     Don't know if they changed or not.  Every time I use it, 
something's changed, so it would be no surprise.  That's one of the 
problems with these free services...but don't expect the commercial 
software to be without odd routings.

     I'd guess you were set up for "fastest." I don't remember how 
MapQuest preferences are set, just that there are some.  See if you 
can reset to "shortest" and try again.  It may be that MapQuest 
doesn't want you to get there quickly. ;-)
