Carol & Fritz,

I'm assuming you have the newer style Safari. 
Airstream made changes in the 2002 models and upgraded
the stabilizer jacks to the same models that they use
on the Classic trailers.

Both Sam Smith who is on the list, and I had our
Safari's upgraded to this style in August in Jackson
Center.  If I not wrong I thing Sam said that his
Safari only came equipped with 2 back jacks.  My '01
had 4 but A/S was using jacks that were built to
support pop up camping trailers. Not only do you get
better stability, but the jack screw extends further
out to the edge of the trailer making cranking much
easier.

info.  I also have pictures posted and one of them is
my Safari in the Service Center getting its new legs.

I also picked up a new lock assembly that is used for
all the cabinet doors and some sliding drawers.  Since
it is spring loaded I figured one might break one day
on the road and having one beats having to use duct
tape to keep things temporarly closed.

What rally are you heading for?  A couple of us on the
list will be at the Bill Thomas Rally at the Mo. State
Fair Grounds in Sedalia next weekend.
