[A/S] Bathroom ABS plastic stains

Hi everyone-

The bathroon countertop surfaces in my '76 Safari are made of ABS 
plastic.  They are somewhat stained and discolored from years of 
use.   This ABS picks of stains from any little thing--even a bottle 
of shampoo that has a little color in it, or a bar of soap, ends up 
leaving a discolored ring.

The owner's manual says not to use abrasives or cleansers on the ABS. 
But it seems that a little Comet cleanser with bleach is exactly what 
it needs--is that what other people use?
