Fritz,

When we get to an area which we want to explore we pull out "The Most Scenic
Drives In America" published by Reader's Digest.  Which is a very good book
describing in detail lots of scenic drives.

For the areas a little less traveled and for lesser scenic drives is "Travel
Guide USA" also by Reader's Digest.  This book is a good backup to the other and
has not so popular big cities and sights to see.

We bought them both via the Amazon site.

We have used the Delorme Map 'n Go and the Street Atlas for 3-4 years and find
it pretty good for getting around and really examining the routes.

Recently at the Tunbridge Region 1 Rally, I was given a tour of the Copilot GPS
system and was in awe of its accuracy and ease of use on the road with a laptop.
We just purchased it and will load it in soon and give it a whirl.

What we do?  We aim the vehicle in the general direction, check the tour/scenic
drives books and plan to be there in good time to take the tours, etc.

We do travel the interstates somewhat, but we also found that it is much more
fun to get off the beaten track and meander through the small towns and
Burroughs.

On the Jackson Center?  The stainless rock guards are a good bet as is the black
stone guard/awning for the front windows.

Have a good trip!  By the way, the Plymouth Installation Rally was awesome with
about 20 rigs and several walk-in day visitors.
