We recently added the heavier BAL stabilizer jacks to replace the original 
factory installed, light weight BAL jacks.  The new BAL jacks are used on the 
Classic Airstreams.  Someone speculated that the original Safari jacks were 
typically used on tent campers.  The new heavy duty BAL jacks helped greatly 
in minimizing the floor motion in our 1999 27 ft. Safari.  When we took 
delivery, we noticed the motion and had the dealer install the lighter jacks 
on the front end.  For 1999, the factory only installed two light weight BAL 
jacks on the back.

Also, would assume you have the A&E awning.  If so, look at the cast aluminum 
brackets that hold the awning arms at the bottom belly band of the trailer.  
They may be bending out from the trailer.   If so, consider placing a heavy 
screw in the middle of the bracket.  My brackets were both deformed almost to 
the breaking point.  Airstream replaced them and I asked that they install 
three screws instead of the two provided for by A&E.  After this 
modification, I pulled the trailer about 5000 miles and see no deformation.  
I saw one Safari in Port O'Call with an A&E and his awning bracket had 
broken.  This may be a common problem with the older Safaris with the A&E 
awnings.
