It would surprise me a bunch if the inner skin of the A/S wasn't a
pretty low resistance to the steel frame. In any event, it'd be easy to
add a bonding strap from the frame to the inner skin. I'd bet that the
inner skin, with those 10 thousand pop rivets holding it all together,
would present a lower-resistance path to ground than me.
Yes, it'd be best to run a seperate ground wire from each receptacle
back to the GROUND (certainly NOT the neutral) connection of your shore
power lead-in, but that's pretty well impossible without removing the
interior skin.
From all the horror stories I've read, it seems to be unlikely that one
could find a reputable, knowlegable, "RV Electrician". No offense
intended, you might be just that [rare] person.
