That predates my appearance on the list.  I'll go back
and check the archives on this.  In the case with the
fellow with the leak in the slide out, the factory
person was more familiar with the modification changes
made in the slide out.  I guess it made sense for him
to help in this procedure.

Unfortunately the weather was cool so the A/C would be
under very little stress.  Their advice of the side by
side check was their next best recommendation in case
I had further complaints about the cooling capacity. 
A side by side at JC most likely may not have shown up
a problem.

I used another digital thermometer (of a different
brand) to verify the accuracy of the one I have been
measuring with.  I do know you have to watch the
placement of the thermometer, especially relative to
the outside walls and windows.  Some heat does come
off these surfaces which can taint the thermometer
readings.
