[A/S] Re: Trip to Jackson Center
Hi, Jack:
Great narrative of your adventures at Jackson Center. I'd add
that Jackson Center is a neat little town located at the intersection
of Ohio 65 and Ohio 274, approachable easily from US 33 out of
Columbus (about 60 miles total), or from I-75 from Toledo or Dayton.
The fact that they sometimes pull people from the factory to
complete repairs is not very reassuring...the repair people appear to
be their good and reliable ones, while the factory people are often
whoever they can get. The result is the large number of complaints
we had last summer in an "Airstream Un-Quality" thread.
I also don't understand why they did not pull a Safari out
themselves to check your AC, instead of asking you to get a dealer
(who would be less likely to have one on hand) to do it. Maybe they
did not have one, either. Since reading your posts, I have noted
that my AC on my Excella tends to make the trailer quite cold, but my
digital thermometer says the inside and outside temps are only about
10 degrees different. That was at Top of Georgia AS park, with
outside temps around 90 one day, and fairly high humidity. The AC
did reduce the humidity inside by 10-15 percentage points. Maybe my
digital thermometer is not calibrated.
