Re: [A/S] GM, 2500HD, 8.1 L

Is anyone towing with a General Motors, 2500HD with the 8.1 engine?  Would 
like to hear your observations on the engine, transmission, etc. either 
on-line or off-line.  I have a new truck on order like above and would like 
to get a little advanced information on what others think of the set-up.  Oh, 
I ordered the 3.70 rear end.  

I'm new to the list.  We have a 1999 27 ft. Airstream Safari.  We spent last 
winter in the trailer in Port O' Call, Melbourne, FL and pulled it to 
California for an extended trip this spring.  We presently tow with a 1995, 
Z-71, K-1500, GMC, 5.7 L, 3.42 rear end.  Would be pleased to share my 
thoughts and observations on the tow vehicle, Safari and/or Port O' Call.
