[A/S] Help w/Trailer Wiring on new toad 2000 Excursion
Hey Folks -
I'm told you folks with F250, F350 and F450 all have the same wiring
as the Excursion.
Need your input - My 64 Tradewind with 7 pin plug doesn't mate pin
wise with my new 2000 Excursion 7 pin recepticle.
One pin in the Excursion is for back up lights - (64 Tradewind
doesn't have those) and one is for the electric brakes. I can move
the trailer brake wire to the Excursion pin but that leaves the stopm
lite wire on the trailer in never never land!
Directions and flashers and 12v charging circuit for the trailer
battery all match.
My questions are -
1. the black stop light wire from the tradewind has no place to go???
attaching it to one of the turn signals makes both tail lights flash.
2. Any thoughts on where to tap into the Excursion trailer brake
wires?
Or would you suggest rewiring the whole thing with a seperate
recepticle?
Thanks for your help -
Blair
