Re: [A/S] Re: HEIGHT OF TRAILER REAR END
Claude and Charlie,
I have this problem with the RV park I use near home to store my
29' Excella. It has a very steep entry to a flat pad on the lake shore,
and using my normal equalizer hitch, the rear end of the trailer
wants to act like a two bottom plow (for you farm boys, ;-) ). My
solution was to go down to Wally World and get a maximum step
down ball mount to use for backing into my space. I pull the trailer
to the point I am ready to begin my backdown, then drop the trailer and
change to the Wally World mount, thus lowering the front of the
trailer and raising the rear. I then rehook up to the trailer and back
into the space. No more gouges in the concrete and a happier
land lord and trailer frame.
