Claude...for a number of years had the same problem we solved it by 
getting a couple of 2x10x8'  boards and  then nailing a couple of 2x4  
as wide as the board in the middle and then laying it in the
street so the 2x4 supported it at the gutter and the other end on the 
slope of the drive  lining them up with the wheels of the trailer..they 
worked great no more dragging on the rear bumper.    sure
they were a bother but would  plop them across the wheelbarrow and  take 
out and put in place when going out or in the drive way     Pearl in
