Yes, it's spelled right.  

I had a spring-jack stolen from my Hensley hitch last year, while 
parked at Top of Ga.  Apparently a "guest" had needed it more than I 
did.  Also, I've been told (I think by Doug Showker) that it's common 
to have hitch heads (ball carriers, especially the adjustable ones) 
stolen from campsites when the owner does that cute little thing of 
leaving it hanging from the trailer hitch for convenience.  A 
screwdriver is all that's needed to release it when the hitch is 
locked.  They show up regularly at flea markets.  At least, that's 
what I'm told; it's not first hand.
