[A/S] numbers etiquette

again, this applies to my 64 avion, but the issue would also apply to 
a vintage airsteam- its just that the avion board has had 21 posts in 
a year, counting 3 of mine: 
   i see many posts here re: how to remove the wbcci posts, my 
concern is the opposite -- my avion is #375, and also has a list of 
all its "travelcade" wanderings going down the other front corner, 
from 64 to mid - 70s(the owner was a "unit president")-- and although 
some would want to remove all this, and polish it, i feel like this 
is the last thing i would do, like destroying "it"s history -- and 
yes, i know the numbers are the member's, but these wonderful people 
who lovingly maintained this trailer, and made good use of it, are 
long gone -- i still might join the avion travelcade club, maybe not, 
but would like to know what others reaction would be to someone 
leaving the old numbers on, assuming the old members are no longer 
active?? -- thanks, bob adams
