Re: [A/S] 1968 Cabinet/Bulkhead Finish
Thanks for the reply, most of the cabinets in our 65 Overlander are in
pretty good shape. They have about 35 years of grime etc. and I want to
clean and refinish. I do have a few places where the vineer(?) has lifted or
chipped off. The local cabinet shop and the local lumber company both can
get me 3/8 mohogany vineer ply. (ain't cheap, but is the same material. I
have stripped off the oil finish, wiped with thinner, and reapplied the oil
finish. The wood is beautiful. Watco Oil should be available at any
hardware store. It comes in natural, and several other tones. This Watco
Oil is what is recommended in the owners manual I have. Good luck and let
me know how your turns out, I am just going to use the oil on the natural
wood.
