[A/S] New owner of a 76 31' sovereign center bath

           Hello I have been reading your posts for about a year now.

I just picked up my trailer last week.

It was about this time last year when I went to an old friends house 
to have some welding done.
When I looked out in his pasture there it was, the aluminum wonder, 
the Cadillac of all trailers, the Airstream with its bright blue 
letters.
It gives me pleasure just looking at them.
When I was younger in the 70s we use to drive by them on I 5 in 
Federal way WA. all shinny and new.

That's when my friend told me he is using it for a barn to store some 
hay for his cows. I told him I didn't believe him nobody would do 
that.
Sure enough there was hay and grain in the trailer. It was very sad 
to see this beautiful legend in its current shape.
The person that owned it before him had fire in the kitchen I think 
he said the converter caught on fire. So he sold the fridge and 
gutted the rest, into the dump it went. He did save the furnace, hot 
water heater, control panel/gauges for the tanks and the toilet.

That's when I went looking on the net to see what kind of resources 
are out there for parts and knowledge. I was amazed how many sites 
there are.
 I told him I wanted to buy it.
He said $1000 that's what it would cost to add on to the barn.
So we built the addition to the barn over the last year and I ended 
up only paying $500 for the trailer.


Now that I have it at home I am looking at the frame, axels.
There is about1/4 to 1/2 inch separation at the back end between the 
inside panel and the channel. 90% of the floor is in good shape 
inside.

But I want to start out with a better than new frame and floor.
