This is my second try... Our trailer was purchased in Pennsylvania and 
towed to IL... Pennslvania issued a temp plate (cardboard) and all the 
states we went through were happy with that...

I am no legal adviser, but I think the various states you go through on 
the way home will honor the transit provisions of the state you 
purchased the trailer in...  A call to your local licensinc office will 
verify that ....
