They still do that at the Melbourne Airstream Park...  you drive in and leave 
your trailer in the road in front of your site. Unhitch and leave it. Then 
someone comes with a tractor and puts it in place. I suppose because the 
lanes are too narrow for a truck. I know my long wheelbase truck could never 
make that turn.
