I agree that your on the right track looking at a 3/4 ton truck but 
that 3.55 gear ratio is a killer. Unless you are going to be towing 
only in flat country I don't think you will be happy with it. We have 
been towing an 7500 to 8000 lb Airstream with a Chevy Vortec 350 with 
3.73 gears and it's slow in the moutains. If you can buy it really 
cheap you could upgrade the rear gear set to say a 3.91 or a 4.10 for 
probably 3 to 500 bux....Good luck.
