Burt,

The Generac 4KXL is usually referred to as a portable generator as
opposed to an RV generator. The latter being characterized by a very
compact  and noise abatement design. The portables are much less
expensive and usually very noisy. They are also contrary to being
called portable are usually not very compact in design.

The Honda EU2000i, though technically not an RV genset, is very
compact and quiet by design.

So, as Jim says, you may not be comparing like products.

Wayne is correct too, in that the noise differences are significant.
To be exact the logarithmic scale of decibels (sound level unit of
measurement) significant number is 3.  That is, for every 3 db the
noise level doubles.

Another consideration for RV generators is a US Forest Service
approved spark arrest muffler.
