RE: [A/S] darn flooring glue

Back to the Airstream thing. This week end I needed to remove a dried gummy
substance from it. I used a product called "Goof Off". It was AMZING. The
instructions on the back states it will remove "old dried latex paint,
caulk, most glues, marker and pen ink (you can use hairspray for that also),
white correction fluid, crayons asphalt, tar lipstick, chewing gum, oil,
grease, scuff marks, candle wax, printer ink... It will remove these things
from, "Nylon, polypropylene, and wool carpets, fully cured varnished and oil
base painted surfaces, vinyl baseboard, laminated counter tops, vinyl
floors, solid vinyl upholstery, all metals, glass brick, wood, concrete,
grout, vinyl tops, fiberglass and most fabrics."

Sorry for the commercial but I was, as I said, amazed. The dried glue I
removed had been on the aluminum since the Airstream was made, in 1968.

Hope that helps.
