Re: [A/S] Generators
Jim and I have spoken off List about his generator. I agree that
this is a serious drawback to our (my family) way of traveling and I
am considering adding enough generator power to start and run my
13,500 btu air conditioner. Its as much for my dog as for me.
I am partial to diesel. That little Robin would run forever on a
teaspoon of diesel. But I haven't worked out dimensions and weight
yet. Usually this this thread brings on a lot of naysayers about
putting generators in a trailer. Its true, you need to be sensitive
to weight and balance but those things considered I am convinced it
can be done.
Jim put his on the trailer tongue. But, correct me if I am wrong
Jim, I think that is possible because he removed lpg bottles. I
prefer not to do that. Already a couple of people have indicated
that they have generator installations in their trailer. I would be
interested in hearing from those who have done it and where it is
located and how the compartment was modified to make room, etc.
