Re: [A/S] Generators
While they tend to be a bit pricey, the Onan line of generators are hard to
beat, on performance. I'm partial to the propane-fired versions. I've got a
4000watt in my Dodge mini-rv, and had planned to transplant it into the
Airstream, but have decided to leave it where it is, save my pennies and put
a newer one in the Trailwind. It'll be under the front 'cafe' seating, in a
well-ventilated (into the belly-pan) and sound-proofed compartment. They're
pretty quite even when operating at full power, but the sound-proofing is
easy enough to do since i'm constructing the trailers' entire interior
anyway... The propane versions put out slightly less power than the gasoline
versions, but the 4kw generator still cranks out 3500 watts, which is more
than enough to fire up the air conditioning.
