Re: [A/S] New Safari Quality
I still do not own an Airstream but I've been lookng at several vintage mid
60's units. They seem to be well designed and so sturdy. Recently I visited
friends that have a 2000 Safari and I stayed two nights in it. Its a
beautiful unit however for what it cost I know that I could have 5 or 6 of
the late 60's models. I had just looked at a 68 overlander that cost about
1/9th of what they paid and I was thinking how much I would have rather had
the older unit. Everything in the newer unit seemed so plastic. There is
truth in the old saying that they don't build them like they used to.
Thats just my opinion of course.....and I'm still gonna own one some day!!
