     That's correct - if you leave the cap on and the valve open, the 
grey water will back up into your black-water tank.  You're not 
supposed to do that - it also exposes your grey-water system to the 
black-water "stuff."  Ugh.  On those older trailers without a grey-
water holding tank, you're supposed to keep the valve closed and 
drain the grey water out as it is generated, either with a 3" hose, 
or with an ordinary garden-type hose attached to a cap equipped with 
a fixture for them.
