My Service manual for 1976 Airstream's has a floodplain picture of a 27'
center bath, rear double bed model. There was also a 29' and 31' set up as
well. Therefore I would suspect that there are some of these units still
around. When I decided that I wanted a mid 70's 31' Airstream with a rear
bed and center bath it took me over a year to find exactly what I wanted. I
was signed up with several internet  RV classified sites with e-mail
notification when something that fit my preset criteria was listed. I looked
at several across the country before finding what I wanted only a few 100
miles from my home.

You should be able to pull an Airstream over most any passable road, if you
have the proper tow vehicle.
