Our personal experience: we tow with a Chevie 3500 van.  The rear doors 
both open out 180 degrees, clearing the 
propane tanks and the power jack, and we have full access to the 
interior.  The wheelbase is 127 or 129 in, but it turns a 
phenomenally tight radius, and the offset of the ball from the rear 
wheels is quite manageable (no sway, etc.).
