Hi,

I was pretty serious about pergo floors, but when I rented a SOB in NM,
it had them, or something like them. The joints had shifted, and even
though it was only a year old, the grit was beginning to wear down the
finish. I am now saving up for cork. Noise and temperature insulating,
soft underfoot, nice quiet colors, and my parents have had a cork floor
in their kitchen for 30 years and it still looks terrific in spite of
dreadful treatment. It also is not as sensitive to moisture as wood, and
can be used in a bathroom. I want the whole floor to be the same, so
sweeping isn't a pain.

Cork is VERY expensive however. It is going to cost me $800 or so to do
all the floors in my 29' ambassador.
