[A/S] Pergo Floors

I am thinking of replacing the carpeting in my AS with something else.
Pergo comes to mind and the folks at C & G in Bellflower indicate that
it is a good floor. Has anyone on this lost replaced their carpeting
with Pergo? Has anyone replaced the carpet with hardwood? How do the
wood floors measure up against good, real linoleum?

I will be doing the floor and re-upoholstering the furniture when I
get back from Mexico this fall. THe material I like for the
upholstery says "no water" but it says proessional cleaning is OK.
Does this mean that I can use my "Little Green Machine" Bissel carpet
cleaner to clean the upholstery when the time comes?

I have used the Bissel on the factory supplied interior and it works
great. I was quite surprised at the amount of dirt it was able to
pull from both the carpets and the couches.

Experiences with flooring and re-upholstering are welcomed. I have
never done this before. This is the first time I have ever had to
pick out material for furniture. It is kind of fun, but I am also
aware I will have to live with this decision when the job is done.
Kinda scary. I like the material a lot, though. It is a beige and
earthy Soutwestern motif with two gemetric designs agianst a neutral
background. I am just concerned about cleaning it.

Write and let me know.

Thanks, folks,
