Re: [A/S] Trailer Tires
I never said they were "no good" I just said *I* wouldn't buy from Firestone
and that you need load range D for trailers (and as others pointed out,
trucks). My truck actually weighs a little more than my trailer and it has
Firestones on it as it's a newer Ford truck.
I had load range Cs on my trailer when I bought it. One of the tires blewout
while I was pulling (when else?) so that's when I bought the four new tires I
have now and was advised to buy load range D.
I'm glad you have had success with your Cs..... I had too until one blew. To
be fair I don't know what caused it........ I drove for 20 more miles and by
the time I was told I had a flat there were pretty much just cords left on
the rim. See photo: http://members.aol.com/hhamp5246/tire.htm
What Airstream do you have and how much does it weigh?
I would still like to know the weight ranges for load range C and D. My
trucks weighs approx 8,000 pounds loaded and my trailer in the mid 7,000s.
