[A/S] Drawtite vs. Warner Brake Controller

Hello Cousin,

Good to hear from you. I didn't know there were other Barlows who own
Airstreams and subscribed to the list.

I was not aware of a Warner hydraulic-electric controller until another
Canadian Airstreamer recently commented about obtaining one from Can-Am RV.
Does Warner still manufacture them or are they old stock like the
Kelsey-Hayes?

Warner is an excellent old company, very well known in automotive braking
systems and other components supplied to the automotive industry. I would
assume the Warner controller is an excellent product as is the Kelsey. If
the Warner controller is still manufactured it would be an excellent
alternative for those who have not been able to locate one of the old K-H
controllers like I recently installed.

I am absolutely in agreement with your comment regarding the crazy
electronic units. My recently installed K-H controller has completely
changed my towing experience. Now, stopping the truck-trailer combination
in varying road and traffic conditions is no more challenging than driving
solo. Until I replaced the Tekonsha I was not aware how stressful it had
become to tow a 34'er through traffic. Now it is a breeze.
