Re: [A/S] Alaska

Hi Dick, My son lives in Alaska. I will be visiting be there in June from NJ.
(Also for the SS....24hrs of sun!) He lives in Anchorage. Last time (2 yrs
ago) I visited, I saw a lot of Airstreams..on all kinds of roads. It was
before I purchased my A/S but my head cranked around to look every time we
passed one. I have been hooked for a while! We traveled to Homer to do some
fishing and the roads were all highways. There is a stretch of sand in Homer
near the fishing pier where I saw RV's boon docking. Someday, if Brandon is
still working up there, I will take my little Safari for a trip to Alaska
myself! By the way group...I have finally ACTUALLY towed my A/S!
I got new tires and a spare, new brakes and packing, had the Hensley put on
and got the wiring all redone (As I am not as handy as most of you guys) so
it was 'road ready'! I have just been practicing driving around and learning
to back up ...but I must admit...I am having a ball. I was a bit concerned
that the guys in the shop put a 'draw tite' brake controller on my truck
(2000 Ch Silv) but it stops great without tugging after a few minor
adjustments and a hardly know the A/S is behind me! After I figure out the
rest of everything...how the toilet works....dumping...etc....I will be on my
way!
