Yes - we did it!

Last Friday we hooked up and took our first ever trip in our new to us 1977
Safari that we purchased last spring (2000). Last summer we used the
trailer when a friend would tow it to a campground for us since we did not
have a tow vechile. 

So Friday was our first trip. We headed about 75 miles north & west of our
home to attend the Spring Rally for the PA Unit WBCCI at Pennwood
Campground in Limestone, PA. We had joined this unit last year but had
never attended a rally.

We were welcomed and had a wonderful time and made many new friends.
Saturday we were offically installed and received our badges at the "Red
Carpet Welcome" of our PA Unit. The one thing we discovered is that to my
knowledge we were the youngest couple in attendance (I'm 55)!!! There was
one other couple and he shared with me that he was 56 years old and was
happy to see another "younger couple".

Pennwood is an Airstream only park just 4 miles south of I-80 at exit 10,
Route 66. This is a wonderful park for Airstreams and the cost for a non
member is just $15.00 per night for full hookup with cable TV.

Everything in our trailer worked great and we really enjoyed our first trip
and are looking forward to our next time to use our Safari.
