Re: [A/S] The day is getting closer

I put a Reese hitch with 1000 lb. spring bars on my F-250/trailer
combination. The F-250 is rated for 10,000 lbs. and my trailer has a tongue
weight of just under 800 lbs., so the same setup should work for you. My
F-250 came with a Class IV hitch, and yours probably does also.
I suspect that the trailer weight distributing system you mention might
be an insert and spring bars. You might check this out before purchasing
another set you don't need.
I doubt that you will need a sway bar for the trailer. You might if
the tow vehicle were lighter, but the F-250 should handle the trailer you
mention without any trouble. I have no sway whatsoever with my F-250 and
22' trailer, and you probably will not have any either. If you do
experience problems, you can always add the sway bar later.
