[A/S] Breakaway switch

You also need 12 volts to the switch on the trailer side...
...if the trailer 'breaks away', the clip pulls out and closes a circuit
between the TRAILER-side battery and the trailer brakes, slamming on the
trailer brakes. My flatbed trailer has a separate, small 'gel-cell' type
12-volt battery for the breakaway brakes. It would be a fairly simple matter
to use the trailer's battery for this purpose - but you need to remember to
Leave the Clip IN, when unhooking the trailer and tow-vehicle. Otherwise,
you'll be running a continuous 12volts to the trailer's brakes, until the
battery runs down, or the until the brake wires burn up, or..
