Hi guys, My dad did not make it to International as
planned last year because his 96 Chevy Express was in
the shop having the transmission replaced under
warranty. His owners manuel stated it was okay to tow
in overdrive. In fact I think it even said to always
tow in overdrive. My poor old 90 owner's manual says
to never tow in overdrive. My dad was always watching
the temperature and faithfully replacing the coolant.
Since the replacement of the transmission he has
installed a bigger and better cooler and all sorts of
temp gauges.
That is the Wagner/Waldo saga on the transmissions.
