This question is from a newbie  -- how do you find nice campgrounds?  Is 
there a nation-wide directory with ratings? 
We did a search on the net, and ordered a state camping directory -- then, 
went to visit a few that sounded good and are relatively local to home, 
thinking we would take some weekend trips to start off with.  They were of 
varying quality! Believe it or not, there were cars up on blocks, ripped 
overstuffed furniture under awniings, SOB's with tarps over half of them, 
etc. WOW!  The airplane and hotel method of travel is starting to look real 
good about now!
