I think you got your answer, albeit probably not the answer you wanted.

Unibody vans and trailers don't mix.  Pretty soon, doors don't close
right and nothing seems to fit.  Chev Astros/GMC Safaris are built on
the 1/2 ton truck frame.  A much better solution.  But overall, like
everyone else was stating, (maybe under their breath) get a full size
puller.  Safety is the biggie; both for you, and everyone else on the
road.

I've seen it posted by others on this list, that 80% of vehicle posted
ratings are a good start, for determining towability of a box type
trailer, versus say, a flat bed or car hauler.  

And God forbid you get in an accident, I'm sure that there would be some
attourney who'd be sure to point out that you were driving
'wrecklessly', because you had exceded the manufacturs weight limits.
Do the math yourself, because that salesman is there to sell.

Just my opinion; usually opposed by others.
