Tom, you're correct, it is not a univolt anymore, it's just a simple power
converter, ac to dc, the newer converters are more battery friendly, having
the ability to deliver a charge at whatever rate the battery will accept and
then down to a trickle to keep from "frying" the battery. Airstream now uses
the Magnatek 55Amp. This  part is available at most RV stores.
