I am posting this under the reply from Hunter.  I hope I'm doing this 
right.  Maybe I am supposed to "wipe out" all the previous verbiage?  
Anyway, I'm not totally hooked on the 29ft. That is my preference and 
not anything under 28 ft. or over 31 ft.  I do require an Excella 
though, and in excellent condition (except as I said, I can deal with 
a less-then perfect skin.  I hope that $12,000 can get this.  Maybe 
someone who really needs to sell theirs ASAP.  I am located in 
Atlanta, Georgia.  I presently live full time in a 1974 AVCO at a KOA. 
 I moved from posh apartments with a posh price about 3 years ago.

Another issue in finding an Airstream: someone on the Escapees forum 
posted a warning in reply to my wanting to purchase an Airstream.  He 
said there were some Airstreams manufactured by companies where the 
quality suffered.  He was suggesting other trailers, like Avion, etc. 
 However, I only want an Airstream Excella.  I am not interested in 
any other brand that is like Airstream.  Were these inferior 
Airstreams manufactured during certain years?  Or can you tell which 
were manufactured by these inferior companies?

This is really a new venture for me, tracking down the perfect 
Airstream.  A few years down the line, I will have to deal with 
swapping the '98 Saturn I bought to pull behind my motorhome for a 
truck.
