Arnie,

I agree completely with you recommendation to use a Kelsey-Hayes
hydraulic-electric controller and also the Reese dual cam hitch assembly.  I
would like to add one additional point.

Coincidentally, just today, I removed my Tekonsha electric-electric pendulum
controller and installed a new but old-fashioned Kelsey controller on my '94
Ford F250HD with rear ABS.  I did so only after writing to Kelsey to inquire
and also asked the parts manager at a local RV store to call again a couple
of days ago before I installed it.  The Kelsey can be used on ABS brake
equipped trucks if a tee fitting is installed in the rear break line at the
master cylinder, not in the front brake line as they were done years ago.  I
installed the new Kelsey today and hooked up my A/S and towed it around some
to make sure.  It works great.  Now, after years of fooling with the
adjustment on the Tekonsha and occasionally using unprintable words under my
breath,  I can modulate the trailer brakes to match the truck brakes by
simply stepping on the foot brake.  No effect whatsoever on the rear ABS
brakes.  I wish I had done it in 1994 when I bought the truck.
