Some units remove (exterior) by taking off the shround covering  
mechanism and you will find screws or bolts holding it on unit base to 
roof.   You may have to drill out pop rivets on exterior of shround (at 
center under trim) to get top of shroud off.

On interior you should find screws holding the interior deffuser on.  
After removal you will probably find other screws or fasteners holding it 
to ceiling panels.
