Hi Christian....

I would choose this one.  I donlt like SUVs as tow vehicles because of their 
short wheelbase and high center of gravity.  They can get a bit squirrely 
even with that light trailer. We used to have a guy on the list who towed a 
Bambi with a Lexus SUV and it scared him half to death.

(For those who remember Byron... he fell in love, got rid of the Bambi and 
the SUV....bought a HUGE fifth wheel and big truck to pull it)

As for the reciever and brakes..... check out the nearest horse trailer place 
or UHaul..... A Reece or Pulltite receiver is what you want.

I donlt know about the 4X4 being too hard on vintage trailers... I have a 4X4 
but tow a newer trailer.
