Vince has some sound advice there. Just for some ball park #s, if you 
have a owners manual they give you a lot of this info on your TT. My 
77/31' factory weight is 5005#s & the G.V.W.R is 7100#s. If you use 
the GVWR weight, you will be very close to your weight when loaded up 
for a trip. Than see what the tow rating is on your 1/2 ton pickup. 
That will be close to the #s you need to know. I'm sure your pickup 
will tow the TT pretty well on flat gnd, maybe slow in the mtns. I 
never tow with any water in any tanks. That cuts it down a few 
hundred #s. Vince has a good point about insurance.
