[A/S] Restoration Tools
Harvey,
I think I found a neat tool at Harbor Freight, an Air Hydraulic Riveter.
It's backordered for what ever that means to H/F as items in the past were
never delivered. The price seems right at $39.99. Jim Weston at Airmark
Tools didn't think I'd be happy pulling rivets with the manual tool for very
long. I watched an A/S serviceman use one and I thought it was almost as
neat as a pneumatic bottle jack.
I'm always using some type of pop rivet and this tool, if it's delivered and
works, will save me a lot of time and pull panels together better than I can
with my hand tool.
Have you any experience with an air needle scalar and compared it with other
types of wire brushing? I've got a ton of rust on the frame up front to get
knocked off some pretty tight places so I can paint with rustoleum.
Regards, Joy
