[A/S]Sightings, Etc in Big Bend

     Carl and I have  sighted 4 other touring silver bullets and one 
newer MH in the last couple days while we have been in the HUGE Big Bend 
Nat'l Park in Texas.
 #1 was at a campground we were looking at - a couple from NY were 
pulling into a site with an 80's 25 ftr. They know our friends Don & 
Dee Perry who are in their Hudson Valley unit. We kept bumping intp 
them, face to face not a/s to a/s... , the next 2 days on the road and 
on foot- on a canyon trail, in a little  restaurant in Mexico.
#2 A/S was in Cottonwood Campground. They were pulling into a site and 
we were exploring B.B. with our truck. About a 27 ft. from IN.
#3 A/S- MH was in the park we stayed in. 
#4 A/S was about 19' new
#5 was vintage Bambi.
(We just went by a dirt road entrance with a sign. It said the Fukowee 
tribe. Okay, are they being funny or is there really such a tribe by 
that name??)    Oh, there goes one - that makes #6 - we just left the 
B.B. Park - and it's a 31ft? 
     Now after I have written all te above here we are two hours east of 
the Big Bend Park and we had an unexpected quickie A/S rendezvous.   A 
total of three pulled in to gas - a 31ft(us), 25ft, and 19ft. These two 
can't be added in as they are repeats of our previous 'sightings'. (c:
     Of the 6 A/Ss two had numbers and four did not... As many of you 
already know a common reason given for not joining WBCCI is that they 
"don't caravan".  Carl and I ARE encouraged by the Feb B. Beret. We'll 
expand on that in a separate message...
     Here's a big sidenote about getting to the town of Santa Elena, 
Mexico from the B.B. Nat'l Park. It was unique... You walk thru sand to 
the Rio Grande River-1/3 mi-where a man from the other side comes in his 
boat and rows you over to Mexico.  It's $2 each round trip and then you 
walk along a  shorter path to the village. A lady came out and beckoned 
us into her little restaurant (big for the town's size). Who's there but 
our new NY A/S friends. (c:  Had good meal, lot of laughs and continued 
walking thru part of the village. If you go don't be overcome by the 1st 
lady beckoning you in as there was another cafe further along where we 
could have eaten outside... Also other little markets to explore. We 
walked back and there was our ferryman waiting to row us back to the 
U.S. side. What a treat!
