     As I said in a previous message on A/S sightings in the Big Bend 
region of Texas, we saw 6 Airstreams on the move  in two days. Two had 
numbers, four did not.  It seems in our travels here in the Southwest 
since early November there have been more sightings without numbers than 
with numbers... That's disturbing, however, Carl and I were kinda 
excited by the February Blue Beret.  First, the cover is good, and  
next, inside the cover are remarks of Int'l President Craig Lundberg. 
His last paragraph brings up some of the thoughts many Airstreamers have 
had: "we, as a Club, need to reach out to new members and listen to 
their ideas...   do we need to change our 'usual' rally schedules to 
include new adventures...   activities for kids at our rallies?" This is 
someone who is part of the "International" circle saying these things in 
print! That's encouraging. 
     Next, is the wonderful brochure insert. It included an application 
(membership), lots of good pictures, and info nicely arranged on rallies 
and caravans.
     There's a lonnng way to go but we were impressed that they (Int'l) 
 obviously have been discussing ideas members have been pestering them 
with for a long time. And now by discussing it publicly in print they 
may be more open to new ideas and changes needed.
