I am with JC.  I have the Tekonsha Sentinal and it works very well.

Don't know about the other Tekonsha controllers, but the Sentinal seems
to have a solid state accelerometer as the change of acceleration or
motion sensor.  I first worked with the accelerometer (sp) in the late
'50s, developed in the aerospace industry and first used on the B52
bombers inertial navigation system.  Of course it was several cubic
inches in size then.

It is a tiny part of a integrated circuit now, my pacemaker even uses
one!

Anyway, I have had no problem so far, it is easy to set up.  There is a
discussion on controllers also on the iRV2 list.
