Maybe 2"  There web site would tell you.  Mine is being repaired so I can't 
go look.

 2) Do you think a Temperpedic could be cut/ formed to fit a curved area? (We
 have a Bambi and the mattress is curved at the headboard end).

 Yes, I had mine cut at a foam shop. I also bought some stretch straps at 
Linen & Things to hold down the sheets over the pad & mattress.  I would have 
asked the Co. to custom make a mattress for the trailer but the original 
mattresses were in perfect shape.  I also use the T Shirt material sheets on 
my beds.  They are so comfy and have a lot of stretch.

 3) Where did you find it? Do they have a web site?
